The main office of the Northern Buller Communities Society and a focal point for the co-ordination of its community services. The Centre provides printing, scanning, laminating, internet access, CV and business card services as well as visitor information. It also produces the monthly Buller Bay Bulletin – a free community newsletter.

The Buller Bay Bulletin – a free community newsletter is produced 11 times a year and delivered to homes and businesses between Seddonville and Waimangaroa in Northern Buller. It ranges from 18 to 22 pages in length and contains a wide range of local information, articles, upcoming events/opportunities and historical information along with public and community notices, quirky stories/jokes/recipes etc. and advertising from predominantly local businesses. It started being produced in 1990 and over 30 years later is still going strong! Advertising Rates can be found here

The Resource Centre has a high quality Xerox photocopier capable of managing a variety of printing or scanning jobs in colour or black & white. Printing on card is also available. Our charges can be found here

The Resource Centre offers internet access, laminating, envelopes, CV preparation, business cards, flyers, posters and typing services. It is also a focal point for the co-ordination of community services, learning and other activities provided both by external agencies and the local community. Ngakawau community hall

Home to the Resource and Information Centre,  this great community facility is owned and operated by the Society on the Ngakawau Domain Reserve.  Built in 1953 by the Buller Miners Districts Community Centres Society, it was fully renovated in 2009/10 and now provides a safe accessible facility for our communities.

Main hall 

The main hall is spacious and has a small riser at one end for entertainment or meeting purposes.  The matai floors are polished with court lines for netball, basketball, hockey and badminton.  We have mats and equipment for indoor bowls and a giant chess set available for hire.  Our charges can be found here

The hall has a veranda covered deck, lovely clean toilets and a supper room containing a classic kiwi-kitchen with plenty of cutlery and crockery as well as a microwave, oven and fridge.  Our trestle tables and chairs are available for external hires.   Contact us for more information.
